Wendy
Rae Leaumont started her art career in kindergarten when she drew a picture of a rabbit and her parents praised her work as if it ranked right up there with the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel.
Convinced she was a genius, Wendy continued to hone her drawing skills throughout elementary school and became interested in graphic design in high school.
After winning a full tuition scholarship to the Art Institute of Atlanta, Wendy studied graphic design, graduated, and got a job with a small multimedia firm in Atlanta.
Wendy has worked in print and web design for 15 years, but has been experimenting with mixed media and Halloween art for the past 3 years. She enjoys altered art, assemblage, collage, stamping, trying new tools and media all the time. Halloween is her favorite time of year, and creating Halloween-themed art is the most fun she has had in her career. She is creating new pieces of art every day for herself, for friends, and to sell in her Etsy shop: www.mybrainchild.etsy.com.
Wendy is pretty sure that her parents, watching her from Above, would still insist that everything she creates is a masterpiece.
